Week of January 12-16, 2026          

Hello Windham High School Families and Happy New Year!

This week, there is an early dismissal on Wednesday for professional development. On Friday, we will recognize our winter athletes during a pep rally at the end of the day. There is no school on January 19 to observe Martin Luther King Jr Day.

The Scheduling Process for 2026-2027 is beginning soon. Please review our 2026-2027 Program of Studies with your student. They will choose 7 credits of courses and 1 credit of alternate courses. They will be conferencing with their teachers about the courses they would like to take in each department prior to exams. Students will select their courses in February and meet with their school counselors. Our Program of Studies is posted under the Academics drop down menu on the top blue bar of our website or you may click HERE to access it directly.

Midyear exams will be administered on January 22-27. Exams count as 10% of the semester grade for each class. These are early dismissal days.  The schedule as follows:
Thursday - 1/22/26 - Period 1 Exam 7:20a-8:50a, Period 2 Exam 9:00a-10:30a
Friday - 1/23/26 - Period 6 Exam 7:20a-8:50a, Period 4 Exam 9:00a-10:30a
Monday - 1/26/26 - Period 5 Exam 7:20a-8:50a, Period 3 Exam 9:00a-10:30a
Tuesday - 1/27/26 - Period 7 Exam 7:20a-8:50a, Period 8 Exam 9:00a-10:30a
*There will be a Passing Time/Break each day from 8:50a-8:58a

Make-Up Exams: If students have an excused absence for an exam, they should report to their teacher between 11:50a-2:25p on Jan 22, 23, 26, 27 to take the exam.

Many thanks to Diana Lopez and our district family liaisons for hosting a joyous Three Kings Day celebration on Saturday! Thank you also to Mimi Fluharty who prepared the lunch with her students and was there on Saturday serving it to our families! We are grateful to our WHS students who volunteered after school on Friday and throughout the celebration on Saturday.; they will be recognized on our Hall of Honor.
