Hello WHS Families,

Each Monday, I will share The Whippet Weekly to keep you informed about important news, upcoming events, things to know, and celebrations happening throughout our school. My hope is that this weekly update helps you stay connected to all that is happening at WHS and gives us another opportunity to celebrate the wonderful things our students and staff are doing each week.

This Week at WHS

Grade Level Assemblies: On Tuesday, administration will hold assemblies regarding student attendance, dress code,  school safety, and behavioral expectations. We will also announce grade level elections, cafeteria snacks and payment info, and information about what is for sale at The Dog Bowl, our school store.

Chromebook Distribution Schedule: Students will receive their chromebooks this week during their English Class.

ADD-DROP: 8/31-9/4 Any students who would like to make a schedule change should make an appointment in the school counseling office. Their school counselor will call their teacher when it’s time for their appointment.      

WPS 60 Day Attendance Challenge for Staff and Students: Setting a Strong Foundation

Our district has launched a 60 day attendance challenge for students and staff. Our goal is to establish positive habits, build meaningful relationships, and strengthen our school community.  Together, let's build a strong foundation for a successful school year!

Summer Mailing Forms: Students should return the completed forms to their period 1 teachers.

The Dog Bowl will be open period 5. Staff and students can see what is for sale and the cost:
