This week is Windham High School Safety Week. We will talk-through/practice each safety drill.

Monday: Shelter in Place at 9:00 am

Wednesday: Lockdown Procedures (no alarms) at 9:00 am

Friday: Fire Drill at 10:20 am

School Pictures Grades 9-11: Friday, 9/12

Senior Pictures: Senior Yearbook Pictures will be taken September 16, 17, 18 19 here at the high school. Appointments are required. Registration codes were sent home on postcards by Prestige photo in the summer. If you do not have your registration code or are having trouble making appointments please call Heather Carpenter in our Main Office.

Yearbook Only photos are always free of charge and you are able to purchase those prints at any time for additional costs. There are also Sitting Fee appointments available for packages that include multiple poses and outfit changes. There are additional costs to purchase photos after your sitting. ADD-DROP 9/2-9/12:

Students may sign up in the school counseling office for an appointment to change their schedules. After 9/12, admin approval is required.

Please review our Attendance Guidelines posted on our website. It is important to know that:

Loss of Credit

As a result of excessive absences from school or a class, course credit may be lost. The maximum total absences allowed prior to losing credit in a course is 7 absences per semester.

To recover credit lost due to absences:

Once a student’s absences exceed seven (7), credit will not be awarded and students will be referred to the Credit Recovery Process during the following semester.

To recover credit in a class that a student passed:

1. The student must attend school for 30 consecutive school days with no more than 3 absences excused by a medical professional, legal representative or in extraordinary circumstances by a WHS Principal. No weekend or school holidays are included. Parent notes will not excuse an absence. Absence notes must be submitted within (5) days of the occurrence.

2. The student must make up class time for each class missed after 7 class absences.
