Compañeros is Windham’s unique Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 8 Two-Way Dual Language Program. Compañeros is dedicated to building language proficiency in Spanish and English, cultural exchange, and academic excellence. All applicants must attend a Virtual Information Session.
C. H. Barrows STEM Academy is an award-winning regional magnet elementary and middle school in North Windham that focuses on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. The modern technology and equipment at Barrows provide students with the tools needed to apply effective, critical thinking skills to any challenge.

Each year, the Connecticut State Department of Education (CSDE) Turnaround Office conducts a Mid-Year Audit in each Commissioner's Network School. As a Commissioner's Network School, Windham High School will complete this process. The purpose of this audit is to identify the school's strengths and challenges in order to further inform the school improvement process. As part of the audit process, we survey parents/families. Thus, we would greatly appreciate it if you would take a few moments to complete this survey. Please note that survey responses are completely anonymous. The survey is voluntary, but hope that you will respond; your voice is important!

We appreciate those families who understand the need to call these early dismissals to ensure safety when we are dealing with excessive heat and a mask mandate in both our classrooms and on our school buses. Looking ahead at the forecast, things should cool off nicely as we end August and start off the month of September.
